Job Description

As a HR Business Partner (known internally as the People Partner), you will play a critical role in providing strategic HR support and ensuring effective people management across Simplify. This is a high-impact, fast-paced position, that requires a self-starter who can work independently and set clear objectives. You will partner with specific business areas to drive HR initiatives, support managers, and ensure a positive work culture that supports high performance. The role is focused on providing solutions in a high-performance, results-oriented environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Business Partnering: Build and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders and managers to understand business needs and provide HR expertise that supports the achievement of business objectives
  • People Strategy: Implement and execute people strategies that drive performance and align with Simplify’s business goals, ensuring an agile and responsive approach to HR issues
  • Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for complex employee relations matters, providing advice and support to managers in line with best practices and legal requirements
  • Performance Management: Partner with managers to ensure performance management processes are in place and effectively support the development and progression of employees
  • Change Management: Assist in driving change initiatives, offering guidance and support to managers and employees as required
  • HR Projects: Lead and support HR projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with overall business objectives
  • Workforce Planning: Collaborate with the leadership team to anticipate workforce needs, ensuring Simplify has the right talent to drive future success

Requirements

  • Proven Business Partnering Experience: Strong experience in an HR Business Partner role, ideally in a high-performance, fast-paced industry (e.g., FMCG, Insurance, other relevant Private Sector)
  • Self-Starter & Motivator: Proactive, self-driven, and able to set and work towards objectives independently while delivering results
  • High-Performance Exposure: Experience working in an environment that demands high performance, with the ability to support and drive a high-performance culture
  • Industry Experience: A background in the private sector with exposure to complex HR issues in fast-paced environments
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to provide effective, practical solutions to people challenges in a timely manner
  • Relationship Building: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build credible relationships with employees and senior leaders
  • Resilient & Adaptable: Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment, able to adapt to new challenges and provide flexible solutions
  • Experience of working in a generalist HR Business Partner or People Partner position, within a large (1,000+ employees), multi-site, complex, and fast-paced, private sector organisation
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and ability to act as an expert ER escalation point
  • Ability to act as HR subject matter expert in multidisciplinary settings
  • Able to design, drive, and deliver HR projects
  • Proven evidence of HR project management and delivery, supporting on notable change management programmes
  • Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Skilled in data-driven decision making
  • Proven experience of working with senior business leaders to develop and maintain High Performing Teams
  • Confidence working in environments with rapid pace of change and uncertainty
  • Proficiency in use of common software packages including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Power BI, Microsoft Project
  • Unrestricted access to own vehicle and willing to spend at least 1 day a week at our St. Ives office with travel to other UK sites as and when required
