T2M Resourcing are working with a specialist engineering business looking to expand their team with a HR Business Partner. This role is ideally a 12-month FTC however consideration will also be given to candidates seeking a permanent opportunity. Reporting into the Managing Director, the business is seeking a proactive and commercially minded HR Business Partner to play a pivotal role in supporting its strategic objectives. This position will provide expert HR guidance and operational support, combining strategic insight with a hands-on approach to delivery. The successful candidate will partner with managers and employees across the organisation, influencing decision-making and driving people-focused solutions that align with business goals. A key focus of the role will be supporting cultural transformation within the existing business, as well as facilitating the successful integration of newly acquired organisations.
Job Responsibility:
To own the HR environment of the company. Working closely with Managing Director and senior leadership team to shape, influence, and deliver a people strategy that supports business objectives
To drive culture‑building initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, inclusivity, and high‑performance behaviours
Lead HR elements of organisational change including restructuring, cultural transformation, integration, and capability development
Lead the full mid‑term and annual appraisal cycles
Train, guide, and coach line managers on Goals/KPI setting, performance evaluation and 360-degree feedback
Analyse performance outcomes to identify organisational capability gaps, skill development needs, and high‑potential talent
Oversee and support the talent management, and succession planning
Monitor and analyse HR metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures aligned to business goals and legal compliance
Provide line managers with advice when they are dealing with complex employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management cases
Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing guidance on all HR matters including employee relations, performance management, and organisational change
Own the company sickness and wellbeing policy
Requirements:
CIPD level 5 with experience of at least 5 years in a similar HR environment
HR BP experience, ideally within an Industrial/ engineering environment
Knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
Previous experience of acquisition integrations and detailed knowledge of TUPE
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
Experience supporting organisational change and culture development initiatives
