On behalf our client, we seeking an experienced HR Business Partner with strong Labour Relations expertise to support a public sector organization during an active collective bargaining cycle. This is a high-impact contract role requiring hands-on experience in unionized environments, grievance management, and formal labour documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with HR leadership to support negotiations, manage ER/LR matters, and ensure accurate tracking and reporting across multiple collective agreements. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, operate independently, and deliver in a fast-paced, highly accountable environment.
Job Responsibility:
Support collective bargaining sessions, including detailed note-taking and action tracking
Draft Letters of Understanding (LOUs) and labour-related documentation ...
Manage and support grievance processes
Provide ER/LR guidance to managers
Maintain accurate tracking tools and prepare executive summary reports
Conduct research and prepare briefing materials as required
Ensure documentation accuracy, formatting, and compliance
Requirements:
Ideally 5-7 years of progressive HR experience
Strong experience in unionized environments
Direct involvement in collective bargaining preferred
Experience managing grievances and drafting formal labour documents
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field
CHRP/CHRL designation considered an asset
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
