We are currently seeking a proactive and pragmatic HR Business Partner to join a leading Australian healthcare provider. In this role, you will be the "go-to" advisor for operational managers, providing high-level generalist support across a national workforce. As a key member of the People team, you will deliver accurate, timely, and commercial HR advice to the operations side of the business. Your day-to-day will involve navigating complex Award interpretations, managing employee relations, and driving key people projects. This organisation values innovation and empathy. Job Responsibility:
Act as a trusted advisor to National and State Managers on all people-related matters, including performance management, conduct, and probation
Lead formal workplace investigations and provide expert guidance on Modern Awards and legislative requirements
Support the business through the full employee lifecycle, from coordinating onboarding and recruitment to managing departures and casual conversions
Partner with leadership on workplace consultations, including site acquisitions and closures
Participate in the development and rollout of new HRIS platforms and other people-centric projects
Communicate key people metrics to stakeholders to help identify risks and inform decision-making
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years as an HR professional
Proven experience in a mid-to-large size organisation with a unionised or Award-covered workforce
Exceptional written and verbal skills
A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management is preferred
Nice to have:
While not mandatory, experience in the healthcare sector is highly advantageous
