We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team on a part-time contract basis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will collaborate with senior leadership and HR specialists to deliver tailored human resources services to member organizations. This position requires a proactive approach to employee relations, performance management, and HR policy development.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain HR roadmaps for member organizations, ensuring services align with their evolving needs
Oversee the creation and regular updates of legally compliant employee handbooks, providing guidance to managers and employees on handbook policies
Administer key HR initiatives such as performance appraisals, employee engagement surveys, and compensation analysis
Act as a liaison between managers and HR specialists to address inquiries related to payroll, benefits, staffing, and reporting
Recommend external resources for agency needs beyond the scope of the HR subscription service
Attend leadership and staff meetings to provide HR insights and support
Offer monthly office hours for management to address HR concerns and provide coaching
Provide guidance to managers on progressive discipline processes, performance improvement plans, and termination decisions
Conduct impartial investigations into employee misconduct and report findings to management
Review and refine job descriptions to ensure clarity and alignment with organizational goals
Requirements:
Strong expertise in employee relations, including handling investigations and disciplinary processes
Proficiency in developing and enforcing HR policies in compliance with legal standards
Proven ability to manage performance evaluation cycles and provide coaching to supervisors
Experience in administering HR programs such as engagement surveys and compensation analysis
Skilled in creating and updating job descriptions to reflect organizational needs
Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams
Solid knowledge of HR administration, including payroll, benefits, and staffing processes
