As our local HR Business Partner (all genders), you will be responsible for the People & Organisation (P&O) processes for the local Zalando employees at our Logistics Site in the Netherlands. Besides that, you are also supporting the Zalando Logistics Site Lead with HR-related contract management of our Logistics Service Provider (Ceva Logistics). In this generalist role you act independently and pro-actively on local P&O topics within your scope and you collaborate and align with other Zalando P&O Teams and local business stakeholders like site management and 3PL. Your hands-on approach makes you flexible in managing topics ranging from operational to strategic level. Please note: this role is part-time, and we’re looking for someone to join our team for 24-36 hours per week

Job Responsibility:

  • You are responsible for the full employment lifecycle and you ensure a smooth customer experience for both employees and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain a roadmap of company events, team activities and internal communication that drive employee engagement, learning and development, with the goal of maintaining our company culture
  • Collaborate with the central headquarter teams and other warehouses in the network to provide frameworks for enabling leaders on people topics
  • Be the go-to person for supporting various ad-hoc office and HR projects as they arise from our teams
  • You will be partnering with the onsite 3PL in order to optimize their performance according to the Zalando P&O Expectations framework
  • You will work on a variety of P&O topics, projects and initiatives as an owner (or contributor)
  • Together with the central Payroll you manage the monthly payroll for the local team
  • you manage hires and terminations in the team
  • Coordinate the annual performance cycle on site
  • Align with Total Rewards on market trends in the Netherlands
  • Discuss P&O data and performance with stakeholders
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews of the site
  • Conduct recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Actively work with HR KPIs and our employee survey as a steering tool to maintain and strengthen the health of our business by providing insights and translating them into actionable measures

Requirements:

  • You have experience in managing the full cycle of P&O processes and documentation within the Netherlands
  • You have a strong understanding of Dutch Employment & Labour Law, as well as Dutch Industrial Relations Framework, and have practised this in an international working environment
  • You have a pragmatic, hands-on approach and you are willing to act on both an operational as well as strategic level
  • Ability to deliver results with little supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment
  • You are solution-oriented, you love organisational challenges and convince with a careful, independent careful way of working
  • You analyse data insights to recommend strategies and anticipate future P&O developments
  • You have the ability to liaise & partner with different teams within the organisation, and on the site (3PL)
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English
