They are seeking an experienced HR Benefits & Compliance Administrator to join their People Operations team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional who thrives at the intersection of employee experience, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the organization's benefits programs are effectively administered while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. Job Responsibility

  • Benefits Administration
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and wellness initiatives
  • Manage employee enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, and benefits changes
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment activities, employee communications, and educational resources
  • Partner with benefits brokers and vendors to ensure efficient program administration and exceptional employee support
  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and assist with vendor audits
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, CFRA, ADA, HIPAA, and ERISA
  • Maintain and update employee records, compliance documentation, and personnel files
  • Support internal audits and compliance reporting requirements
  • Monitor employment law updates and recommend policy or process changes as needed
  • Assist with policy development, handbook updates, and employee communications
  • Partner with payroll to ensure accurate deductions, benefits reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support immigration tracking, I-9 compliance, and employment verification processes
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities related to benefits and compliance documentation
  • Generate HR metrics, compliance reports, and workforce data analysis
  • Support employee relations initiatives and HR projects as assigned
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts that enhance operational efficiency and employee experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in HR administration, benefits administration, compliance, or a related HR function
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, benefits regulations, and HR best practices
  • Experience administering multi-state benefits and compliance programs preferred
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, or related certification is a plus
