In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to compliance and HR administration. You’ll assist in ensuring we meet all regulatory obligations while also helping to attract top non-academic talent across our portfolio of schools. This role is based in our Mayfair Office, and follows a 4 days office/1 day wfh split.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor and record all staff absences on the relevant HR systems, ensuring supporting documents are filed appropriately
Assist the HRBP with day-to-day enquiries and projects
Ensure completion of leaver paperwork, arrange exit interviews, archive files as necessary
Assist with monthly Payroll, compiling reports which include all staff changes, absences, joiners and leavers
Support preparation of documentation for internally promoted staff
Assist with obtaining, documenting and maintaining relevant pre and post appointment checks for successful applicants, including DBS checks, Right to Work information, social media checks, health checks
Under guidance of the HRBP, ensure Single Central Record is kept up to date and compliant with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance
Create and maintain employee records, physically and in relevant HR systems
Advertise vacancies and provide an excellent candidate experience
Track applications, prepare shortlisting packs, liaise with candidates and hiring managers for interviews
Assist with onboarding successful candidates and ensuring a smooth induction process
Requirements:
Previous experience as an HR Administrator/HR Assistant or in a similar HR support role
Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and compliance
Familiarity with HR systems (HRIS) and maintaining employee records
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive and adaptable approach
Customer-focused with a passion for supporting employees and stakeholders
