Job Description

Our client, a large automotive group, is seeking an HR Assistant to support Human Resources initiatives for multiple dealership in Maryland!

Job Responsibility

  • Serves as the point-of-contact for new hires and applicants going through the interview process
  • Manages onboarding processes and all new hire paperwork including benefits and payroll set-up
  • Initiates and monitors background checks and drug screens
  • Collaborates with hiring managers on team needs and interview processes
  • Leads weekly new employee orientation sessions

Requirements

  • A bachelors degree and 1+ years of HR experience required
  • A valid driver's license is required, along with weekly travel between White Marsh and Clarksville
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfortability in public speaking
  • Eager to learn and grow within Human Resources

  • Working closely with our outsourced HR Advice provider to ensure case recommendations are implemented effectively across our hotels
  • Building manager capability through practical guidance, challenge and support on day-to-day people matters
  • Providing practical support, such as note-taking, when required
  • Collaborating with the wider People Team on projects supporting our employees and business at all stages of the employee lifecycle
  • Supporting the delivery of employee engagement, reward and recognition initiatives
  • Own the administration of our Employee Benefits platform, driving engagement across our workforce
  • Drive engagement with Worker Voice channels, supporting managers to create and implement action plans in response to employee feedback
