A detail-oriented HR Assistant to provide essential support in the daily operations of their Human Resources department. This role involves maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, and handling administrative tasks such as scheduling and document preparation.
Job Responsibility:
Respond to routine employee and applicant inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and recruitment processes, escalating more complex issues to the HR Manager
Assist with payroll tasks, including processing, resolving discrepancies, and addressing employee concerns
Conduct audits of HR programs such as payroll and benefits, recommending corrective actions when necessary
Support benefits administration by managing claims, reporting changes, and processing vendor invoices
Serve as a liaison with external vendors and insurance providers for health, dental, life, and retirement plans
Process and manage leave of absence requests, including disability and workers' compensation documentation
Maintain and update employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and generate reports as needed
Facilitate recruitment efforts by managing job postings, tracking candidate statuses, and coordinating interview schedules
Prepare new employee documentation, conduct reference checks, and assist in onboarding and orientation processes
Organize and support special events such as benefits enrollment sessions, company meetings, and employee recognition programs
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in human resources
Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Proficiency in using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and other office software
Excellent communication skills to interact with employees, applicants, and external vendors
Familiarity with employee relations, onboarding processes, and benefits administration
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Experience conducting audits and recommending improvements for HR processes
Nice to have:
Knowledge of payroll functions and leave of absence procedures is a plus
