Robert Half is partnering with a St. Paul, Minnesota based client that is in need of a contract HR Assistant to support a short-term clean-up assignment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping employee information accurate, organizing HR records, and assisting with administrative processes across payroll, benefits, and LMS systems. The position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR team member or someone at the entry level with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
Job Responsibility:
Review and update HR data to improve record accuracy and maintain organized employee information
Generate and compile HR-related reports to support day-to-day administrative and operational needs
Add employees into the learning management system by using established group templates and ensuring correct assignments
Work across multiple HR platforms, including ADP and Bswift
Communicate effectively through email and other internal channels to respond to routine HR-related questions
Identify discrepancies in employee records and resolve issues with a high level of accuracy and follow-through
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in HR administration, such as an internship or temporary HR position
Familiarity with HRIS platforms and comfort navigating multiple systems to manage employee data
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for organizing information, reviewing records, and supporting reporting tasks
Exposure to payroll, benefits, or employee data administration is strongly preferred
Strong written communication skills, including clear email correspondence and customer service support
High attention to detail with the ability to handle data cleansing and template-based administrative work accurately
Self-directed work style with the ability to take initiative and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
