Job Description:

A well-established company in Owensboro is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Assistant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role focuses heavily on payroll support, union compliance, and administrative coordination.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review timecards for accuracy and compliance with union agreements in partnership with Trade Managers, Project Managers, and Special Project Managers
  • Verify local union information and classifications within the HRIS system
  • Assist with onboarding processes and perform accurate data entry for new hires
  • Maintain and update a weekly payroll issues log, coordinating with branch and corporate payroll
  • Update and manage confidential payroll records in accordance with company policies and employment laws
  • Provide general administrative support as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous administrative experience, preferably in payroll, HR, or union-related settings
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
