Job Description

Conduct and supervise the day-to-day HR functions of assigned department(s) within the College of Agriculture/K-State Research & Extension's Business Services Unit. Manage human resource activities relating to recruitments, on-boarding, hiring, & separations, payroll/time & leave, and employee relations. Ultimately responsible for all HR functions for the unit(s), hold signature authority for HR documents. Act as unit(s)' primary contact on higher-level HR matters, uninterrupted services, and process improvements for HR areas. Consult with managers and employees on HR matters.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and five years of relevant experience
  • Ability to learn quickly, determine priorities, take initiative, and work independently
  • Computer proficiency/ability to learn new systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability in performing highly detailed tasks
  • Experience in recruitments
  • Experience with K-State HR processes and paperwork
  • Experience responding to needs and requests of a wide range of clients in a friendly and effective manner
