Our client is seeking a highly organized HR Advisor to manage key HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and absence management. You will provide HR guidance, oversee onboarding/offboarding, ensure policy compliance, and handle disciplinary actions.
Job Responsibility:
Provide HR support across departments, advising on employment matters and day-to-day HR issues
Assist in attracting the right candidates by liaising with agencies, advertising roles, and screening applications
Support payroll processing, salary documentation, and absence-related deductions
Assist with employee inductions, transfers, maternity/paternity returns, and probation reviews
Conduct return-to-work meetings, monitor sickness absence, and liaise with Occupational Health
Provide support for disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and family-friendly policies
Requirements:
Solid HR Generalist experience within the utilities or construction sector
CIPD qualification or currently studying towards
Willingness to travel to site Depots including Cumbria, Midlands, Northeast and Yorkshire
