We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our People team, acting as a key link between the People Team and operational teams across the Kisimul Group. You will work closely with managers to support day-to-day HR operations and colleague wellbeing. You’ll provide practical HR guidance to managers, helping them confidently manage employee relations, absence, wellbeing, and team processes. You’ll spend time within the business, building strong relationships, supporting managers, and ensuring our people practices remain consistent, compliant, and people-focused.
Job Responsibility
Conduct return-to-work meetings and support managers with follow-up actions and wellbeing conversations
Carry out welfare checks and provide practical guidance on colleague wellbeing and support needs
Coordinate absence management processes in line with company policy and procedures
Lead and support absence review meetings, helping managers improve attendance and reduce absence levels
Monitor absence trends and produce reports to support informed decision-making
Support employee relations matters, including investigations, note-taking, evidence gathering, and meeting coordination
Provide practical HR guidance to managers on formal processes, people matters, and day-to-day employee issues
Coordinate inductions, interviews, and HR documentation to ensure a smooth colleague experience
Track and support supervision and 1-to-1 activity across teams, encouraging consistency and quality conversations
Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring HR systems and personnel files remain compliant and up to date
Prepare documentation for meetings, hearings, and HR casework
Support debrief sessions, capturing key learning and promoting continuous improvement
Build strong working relationships with managers and operational teams to promote consistent, people-focused practices
Requirements
Previous experience in a generalist HR role at Advisor level or similar
Experience supporting absence management and employee relations casework
Strong understanding of HR best practice and employment law
Confident building relationships and working face-to-face with managers and operational teams
A proactive, hands-on HR professional who enjoys working within the business
Approachable, empathetic, and passionate about colleague wellbeing
Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Resilient and confident when handling sensitive or challenging situations
Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail
Nice to have
CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards)
Good working knowledge of HR systems and Microsoft Office
