Here at Sealey, we are seeking to recruit a HR Advisor to join our team based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. You will join us on a permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary plus benefits.
Job Responsibility:
Working closely with department managers/supervisors, providing accurate and timely advice on all areas of employment law and Company policies and procedures
Providing support and guidance on discipline, grievance and absence management matters, ensuring these are dealt with consistently, adhering to legislation and Company policies and procedures
Preparing training material on a wide range of generalist HR topics and deliver training as required
Support in developing and implementing Company employee engagement initiatives
Supporting the HR Assistant with all aspects of recruitment, from drafting adverts to writing contracts and conducting new starter inductions
Management of HR systems
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar, generalist HR role
Already holds or is working towards CIPD level 5 qualification
The ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
To be meticulous with detail and have a proven ability to operate to deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities in an effective manner
To be organised, with the ability to multi-task and reprioritise throughout the day
The ability to act on their own initiative and make decisions when required
To be resilient and empathetic
To be approachable with the ability to build and sustain relationships at all levels
A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience of working with HR systems
