Are you a process-driven HR professional with a passion for Employee Relations? We are looking for an agile and detail-oriented HR Advisor to join our client's HR team. Reporting directly to the ER Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a large, diverse, and mixed workforce. This is a high-volume, impactful role where your ability to navigate complex legislation and maintain a high standard of procedural fairness will be key. The Role: As the first point of contact for leaders and employees, you will provide fit-for-purpose advice on a range of employment-related matters. You won’t just be answering questions; you’ll be deep-diving into policies, awards, and legislation to provide sound solutions for a complex operational environment.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct end-to-end investigations into grievances and workplace concerns, including interviewing employees, analysing evidence, and recommending outcomes
Support leaders through Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and medical assessments
Provide expert guidance on change management initiatives and the interpretation of industrial instruments
Apply rigorous risk management principles to all ER activities, ensuring every step is documented and legally sound
Draft high-quality, sensitive correspondence (memos, formal letters, and reports) and translate complex legislative concepts into clear, actionable advice
Requirements:
A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, IR, or a related field
Approximately 2+ years of experience in an operational HR or Advisory role, with a demonstrable passion for ER cases
Proficiency in HRIS and electronic records management systems
A strong ability to interpret and apply complex employment legislation and Awards to real-world workplace situations
High-level conflict resolution skills and the ability to speak persuasively while maintaining a strong customer-service focus
