Our client is a family-owned manufacturer with a base in the UK & Ireland. They are renowned for pioneering, innovating, and a people centric approach to everything they do. They are currently looking at short term re-org to facilitate their long-term growth aspirations, and this role will be a key hire for that process. Our client is looking for HR Advisor on a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) of six months to help support the business with the re-org process. This will be a hands-on role designed to support restructuring, some possible redundancies, and consultation processes. As HR Advisor you will ensure a fair, transparent, and legally compliant processes and will bring significant experience gained within roles where the company has gone through a re-org. The HR Advisor will play a key role in the smooth re-org transformation, aiming to ensure that any redundancy process is handled professionally to mitigate risk while treating employees fairly. You’ll also handle all the associated administrative process as part of your role. This role offers the opportunity for a skilled HR Advisor to add immediate value with their skillset. The role is largely site based with four days based out of their Derbyshire facility, with one day working from home possible.
Job Responsibility:
Leading or supporting end-to-end re-org processes, including collective and individual consultations
Acting as a trusted partner to line managers, guiding them through difficult conversations, performance management, and restructure consultations
Ensuring any redundancy actions, selection criteria, and employee relations cases comply with UK employment legislation
Engaging with senior leaders, employee representatives, and potentially trade unions
Maintaining accurate case management records, producing consultation documentation, and managing risk
Supporting other HR functions such as redeployment planning, contract management, and talent acquisition if needed
Requirements:
Strong background in employee relations (ER), with specific experience in restructuring
In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
Excellent communication, influencing, and coaching skills, with the ability to work at pace
CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR experience is desirable
Nice to have:
Able to add value with experience and take a lead role with minimal supervision
