This is a Case Coaching Advisor position – not a generalist HR role. You will act as a subject matter expert in Employee Relations (ER), providing specialist advice and coaching on complex, high-risk cases across the UK business.
Job Responsibility:
Act as a trusted SME and strategic advisor to managers and senior leaders
Provide legally sound, risk-balanced advice in line with UK employment law and internal policy
Ensure compliance with the Acas Code of Practice and current legislation
Coach and influence managers to build capability and confidence in managing ER matters
Work closely with Trade Unions and employee representatives in a unionised environment
Manage a large and varied case workload across multiple UK business areas
Coach and advise Line Managers on complex and sensitive ER cases with high business risk
Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective case progression
Provide balanced, commercially aware and legally compliant advice
Support managers, employees and representatives to resolve cases effectively and consistently
Maintain accurate and timely case records using appropriate systems
Challenge and influence managers constructively to improve ER capability
Requirements:
CIPD Level 5 qualification or above
Significant ER discipline expertise with strong UK employment law knowledge
Demonstrable experience managing a high-volume, complex case workload
Experience working in a unionised environment
Proven ability to advise on high-risk and complex ER matters
Strong stakeholder management skills across varied and senior audiences
