Job Responsibility

  • Partner with sales colleagues to provide technical leadership for new and existing opportunities
  • Apply the HPE Networking portfolio to sales campaigns and develop expertise in a specific discipline
  • Build trusted relationships with customer technical decision-makers, understand their business and technical needs, and recommend suitable solutions within the competitive landscape
  • Collaborate with HPE Networking’s internal technical teams and Product Management to help guide product direction and share knowledge
  • Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the product lifecycle
  • Represent HPE Networking in relevant national business associations, technical partner forums, and end-user communities
  • Support marketing activities by providing technical presales expertise where needed

Requirements

  • A master’s degree, preferably in computer engineering or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems
  • A positive outlook and a constructive, team-oriented mindset
  • Experience and knowledge in IT networking, including AIOps/management, routing, wireless, switching, and security
  • Motivation to drive business success by competing and winning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • The ability to deliver sales presentations, lead whiteboard technical design sessions, and conduct product demonstrations or seminars
  • The ability to work independently, remotely, and collaboratively to achieve goals
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to flexible working patterns

Nice to have

  • Experience in a technical sales role
  • Knowledge of HPE Aruba and Juniper networking products and technologies is desirable, but not essential
  • Understanding of public cloud, WAN technologies, data center, and campus network architectures
  • Understanding of NetOps/DevOps using tools such as Python, Ansible and MCP/LLM, as well as server, application, or container automation
  • Fluency in English and German language
