This role has been designed as ‘’Onsite’ with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner/customer office. We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Consultant to participate in the delivery and implementation of HPC & AI Services for the AI Factory project at our customer in Stuttgart, Germany. Additional customer sites may be located mainly in DACH, occasionally in larger Europe, and will require some travel to engage with the team and the customer.
Job Responsibility:
Apply your technical background and knowledge of industry trends to deliver HPC & AI services, including both hardware and software, for HPC supercomputer systems, AI clusters and storage systems
Support the pre-sales team in scoping & sizing the HPC services
Plan and deploy HPC & AI HW and SW solutions before and after the customer acceptance
Analyse, qualify, troubleshoot, and resolve whenever possible, incidents with the right level of autonomy & expertise
Collaborate with team members, other internal organizations, customers, and third parties (e.g. Red Hat, NVIDIA, open-source software communities…)
Manage the customer relationship, including verbal & written communication and frequently represent the organization to external customers/clients
Be available to travel, to DACH customers sites but as well across Europe if needed
Research HPC & AI documentation and complete required training to maintain and develop HPC & AI skills
Requirements:
Educated in a technical University degree
Profound technical knowledge of the overall architecture for HPC and/or AI products and solutions
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experienced with client relationship management skills
Business fluency in German and English language
Experienced in these technical skills: Linux/Unix operating systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu)
Knowledge of programming and scripting (e.g. Perl, Python, C++, etc.)
Configuration management (ansible)
Containerization and container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes
Understanding of: AI workloads (PyTorch, TensorFlow, NVIDIA GPUs)
Networking and security
Workload managers (preferably SLURM and/ or PBS-pro)
Cluster management systems
HPC storage systems (preferably VAST)
Server components including motherboards, memory, GPUs, storage, network switches
