Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Housing Voucher Specialist to join our team in Loveland, Colorado. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing administrative processes and ensuring compliance with housing regulations. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth within the housing association industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the leasing process by conducting orientations, verifying eligibility, and maintaining required documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and screening procedures as outlined in the Section 8 Administrative Plan
  • Manage annual recertifications and process interim changes promptly to ensure proper rent notifications
  • Monitor and collect outstanding balances owed to the Section 8 program, addressing discrepancies in participant income
  • Maintain and update the organization's database to ensure accurate records and timely rent calculations
  • Process internal requests and database updates in alignment with software and funding guidelines
  • Collaborate with accounting staff to monitor financial integrity and coordinate waitlist openings
  • Submit and verify participant information in the organization's information center to ensure accuracy
  • Generate and review Enterprise Income Verification reports, updating tenant files and maintaining documentation
  • Address participant and landlord concerns while promoting new and existing programs as funding allows

Requirements:

  • Strong administrative skills with proven experience in compliance and verification processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Familiarity with housing choice vouchers, Section 8 regulations, and supportive housing recertification
  • Ability to manage databases and utilize systems such as Yardi effectively
  • Knowledge of government regulations and HUD guidelines related to housing programs
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse populations and manage collaborative relationships
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in documentation and reporting
  • Commitment to staying informed about housing trends and community resources

  • Manage the corporate credit card program, including transaction downloads and system integrations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing and reconciling journal entries
  • Reconcile vendor statements and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies
  • Oversee bank statement reconciliations, clear checks and deposits, and prepare necessary journal entries
  • Maintain petty cash funds, reconcile balances monthly, and prepare reimbursement vouchers
