Job Description:

The Housing Triage Officer will assess complex housing applications in line with the Housing Act legislation.

Assess complex housing applications in line with the Housing Act legislation

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the relevant legislation relating to homelessness and housing need, with particular knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 part VII and the Homeless Reduction Act 2017
  • Understanding the Allocations Policy
  • Working experience in the assessment of more complex homeless applications for persons who present themselves
  • Demonstrable experience of making recommendations and decisions under the relevant housing legislation
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
