Job Description:

You will support Residents in a supported accommodation setting and/or the community with their housing needs and life skills in a person-centred, trauma informed way.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting residents with mental health and wellbeing, by encouraging healthy activities and lifestyles, and signposting to services
  • Assisting with claims for housing and associated benefits to support financial stability
  • Organising and managing a range of engaging activities to promote social inclusion
  • Playing a hands-on role in responding to incidents appropriately, contacting and liaising with NWH staff, emergency services, voluntary and statutory agencies
  • Maintaining accurate service user records and files

Requirements:

  • Either have the ability to hold at least basic conversations in Welsh or be currently learning / willing to learn Welsh to the required level
  • Experience working in a client centred environment such as housing, care or similar
  • Knowledge of the support needs of vulnerable people
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Hard working, with a positive ‘can do attitude’
  • At least have basic IT skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
