Job Description

The Housing & Redevelopment Senior Manager will have experience administering a variety of housing programs and managing housing professionals. Our ideal candidate is passionate about public service and committed to expanding opportunity for the individuals and families we serve.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Business Administration, Social Work or related field
  • and 8 years of progressively responsible experience in public housing administration, to include management and policy development experience, and 3 years of supervisory experience
  • and A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Nice to have

  • Certification as a Public Housing Manager (PHM) or Housing Choice Voucher Executive Manager (HCVEM) through a HUD-recognized program
  • Experience with mixed-finance development, RAD conversions, or other innovative housing strategies
  • Experience working within a municipal government structure and familiarity with local government budgeting, procurement, and administrative processes
  • Familiarity with local housing market conditions and social service organizations
