Job Description

Have you ever wanted to help local workforce with housing needs in Summit County? The Summit Combined Housing Authority is looking for a new team member. The Housing Program Specialist works under the supervision of the Executive Director of the Summit Combined Housing Authority (Executive Director).

Job Responsibility

  • Support the Summit Combined Housing Authority’s homebuyer application qualification, annual occupancy surveys, resale calculations, down payment assistance, and education programs
  • Extensive contact with the public, government agencies, and community groups

Requirements

  • Knowledge and skills equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with substantial coursework in government, planning, sociology, business administration or a relevant quantitative discipline
  • Practical experience in Housing, Social Services, Community Outreach, Public Administration, or Finance
  • Demonstrated success working directly with customers or the public
  • Experience working with historically underserved communities
  • Competency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation or data visualization software

Nice to have

  • Database management experience or the ability to design online data collection processes
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages used in Summit County households
  • Experience working in a Salesforce-based platform
  • Social Media management and website updating
  • Proven work with a board of directors, including completing minutes and open meeting requirements
