Job Description:

Housing Options Officer – East London. We are seeking an experienced Housing Options Officer to join a proactive East London local authority. You will act as the Lead Professional Officer, interviewing and managing a caseload of households who have approached the council for support, helping to prevent or relieve homelessness wherever possible. You will provide robust housing advice, identify suitable options, and ensure compliance with statutory duties.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage a caseload of clients seeking homelessness assistance
  • Conduct interviews and complete detailed assessments
  • Deliver homelessness prevention and relief duties in line with legislation
  • Provide tailored housing options advice and support
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies
  • Work effectively under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
