Job Description:

This is a key role responsible for ensuring the portfolio operates to the highest standards of governance, regulatory compliance and health and safety. You will work closely with Hyde teams, the property managing agent, the fund administrator and the FPRP Board to establish strong assurance frameworks and ensure residents live in safe, compliant homes. Reporting to the Senior Contract Delivery Manager, you will help oversee the governance and regulatory arrangements for the portfolio, ensuring all obligations are met and that the Board receives clear reporting and assurance to support effective oversight.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Funded Private Rented Portfolio Board with regulatory engagement and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with standards set by the Regulator of Social Housing
  • Maintain assurance frameworks to monitor managing agent performance
  • Oversee regulatory returns and maintain reporting obligations to the Housing Ombudsman
  • Ensure compliance with the Complaint Handling Code and embed learning from complaints
  • Provide oversight of statutory health and safety compliance across the portfolio
  • Monitor the managing agent to ensure all safety obligations are met
  • Support safe, compliant and well-maintained homes for residents
  • Maintain robust governance, policy and procedure frameworks
  • Develop assurance mechanisms to ensure services meet agreed standards
  • Provide governance reporting to the FPRP Board

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of housing regulation and health and safety legislation
  • Experience developing governance and assurance frameworks
  • Experience overseeing managing agents or contractors
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse data, identify risks and drive improvement
