Job Description:

Ballard Spahr LLP seeks to hire an Associate in the Baltimore, Minneapolis, or Washington D.C. office with 2-5 years of legal experience to join our Housing Finance group.

Job Responsibility:

  • Become part of our long standing national finance practice which has closed transactions in all 50 states with exposure to originating and servicing loans
  • Significant responsibility, with substantial client contact and a fundamental emphasis on teamwork
  • Involvement in marketing and business development, allowing for personal interaction with clients and their industries at conferences and in other settings

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of legal experience
  • Experience in commercial real estate finance
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Active bar license in Maryland, Minnesota, or D.C.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with multifamily lenders, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and/or FHA multifamily programs
  • Strong title insurance and survey review experience
