Job Description:

Help us maintain safe, secure spaces for women and families rebuilding their lives. We are looking for an experienced and proactive Housing & Buildings Manager to make sure our refuge and accommodation buildings are safe, compliant, well maintained and fit for purpose. This is a role for someone who understands that strong systems, good maintenance and clear housing processes are not just operational tasks – they are essential to delivering high quality, trauma-informed support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Making sure our buildings are safe, compliant and well maintained
  • Overseeing maintenance, repairs and contractor relationships
  • Making sure health and safety systems are up to date
  • Managing voids and property turnaround so spaces are brought back into use quickly
  • Overseeing housing and finance support processes

Requirements:

  • Practical experience of building or accommodation management in residential, supported housing or similar environments, including working with contractors and external providers
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Good professional judgement in identifying and responding to building and safety risks
  • Confidence using digital systems to track and report property and housing activity
  • The ability to communicate clearly with contractors, landlords and service teams
  • A full driving licence is normally required
