Help us maintain safe, secure spaces for women and families rebuilding their lives. We are looking for an experienced and proactive Housing & Buildings Manager to make sure our refuge and accommodation buildings are safe, compliant, well maintained and fit for purpose. This is a role for someone who understands that strong systems, good maintenance and clear housing processes are not just operational tasks – they are essential to delivering high quality, trauma-informed support.
Job Responsibility:
Making sure our buildings are safe, compliant and well maintained
Overseeing maintenance, repairs and contractor relationships
Making sure health and safety systems are up to date
Managing voids and property turnaround so spaces are brought back into use quickly
Overseeing housing and finance support processes
Requirements:
Practical experience of building or accommodation management in residential, supported housing or similar environments, including working with contractors and external providers
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Good professional judgement in identifying and responding to building and safety risks
Confidence using digital systems to track and report property and housing activity
The ability to communicate clearly with contractors, landlords and service teams
A full driving licence is normally required
