The City of Chandler Neighborhood Resources Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Housing and Redevelopment Senior Manager [PHA Director]. Job Responsibility:
Shape housing stability and opportunity in Chandler
Administer housing programs that improve client opportunity and long-term success
Manage the City of Chandler Public Housing Authority
Manage site-based and scattered site public housing units, the Housing Choice Voucher program, Veterans Affairs Supporting Housing (VASH) Vouchers and Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)
Oversee conversion of public housing sites under the Rental Assistance Demonstration Program (RAD)
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Business Administration, Social Work or related field
8 years of progressively responsible experience in public housing administration, to include management and policy development experience
3 years of supervisory experience
a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
Nice to have:
Certification as a Public Housing Manager (PHM) or Housing Choice Voucher Executive Manager (HCVEM) through a HUD-recognized program
Experience with mixed-finance development, RAD conversions, or other innovative housing strategies
Experience working within a municipal government structure and familiarity with local government budgeting, procurement, and administrative processes
Familiarity with local housing market conditions and social service organizations
