Reporting to the Department Manager, Housekeeping is responsible for providing a clean and safe environment throughout the plant.
Job Responsibility
Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas
Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements
Perform cleaning duties – sanitizing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pick-up/disposal, floor scrubbing, and restrooms across all plant areas including outside of the building
Responsible for disposal of all office recycling
Responsible for replenishing paper products in restrooms and breakrooms
Understanding of various cleaning agents and their appropriate uses
Maintain and refresh all breakrooms after scheduled breaks, lunches and special events – this includes cleaning tables, microwaves, cabinets, door handles, etc
Maintain and keep track of cleaning inventory in supply cabinets and notify management when items need to be ordered/restocked
Requirements
Experience in Food/ Beverage Manufacturing preferred
Ability to read and understand safety data sheets (SDS)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in an organized manner
Comfortable working independently and showing initiative
