The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key leadership role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction across the resort. This position works in close partnership with Room Attendants, Housepersons, Housekeeping Inspectors, and other resort departments to ensure exceptional service and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Participate in the evaluation and development of team members
Communicate employee performance to Housekeeping Management, including recommendations for recognition, coaching, or corrective action
Ensure all team members follow policies and procedures outlined in the Hawks Cay Resort Handbook
Coordinate with Rental Management and Engineering for repairs, maintenance, and broken items
Report guest policy violations such as unauthorized pets or improper use of rooms/villas
Monitor and supervise the daily performance of Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Inspectors
Train and retrain staff to ensure work meets resort quality standards
Perform spot checks for quality control behind Room Attendants and Inspectors
Provide hands-on coaching by reviewing areas requiring improvement and demonstrating proper procedures
Reassign tasks and credits throughout the workday based on operational needs
Inspect rooms/villas returning from out-of-order status and assign appropriately
Monitor system updates throughout the day, including ECOs, arrivals, and status changes
Ensure all required checklists are completed by Inspectors and Housepersons
Maintain strong communication with all departments to support smooth daily operations
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Room Attendant and/or Housekeeping Inspector preferred
Prior supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality strongly preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to make sound decisions regarding staff performance and guest service
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and efficiency
Ability to work in a fast-paced resort environment
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
Must be able to climb stairs frequently
Full mobility required including bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality standards
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Ability to work extended hours when operationally necessary
