Responsible for assisting the Executive Housekeeper in all facets of the daily Housekeeping operations in the Housekeeping department. Ensures that all quality housekeeping and maintenance standards are met. Responsible for the training, and providing input on the counseling, coaching and discipline of department staff members, temp workers, and contract workers to ensure guest service satisfaction and safety for our guests and employees.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Executive Housekeeper in all facets of the daily Housekeeping operations
Ensure all quality housekeeping and maintenance standards are met
Train and provide input on counseling, coaching and discipline of department staff members, temp workers, and contract workers
Ensure prompt response to guest requests and complaints
Inspect all responsible guestrooms as assigned to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance
Turn rooms over to the Front Desk to re-sell in a timely and efficient manner
Prioritize work so guests are able to check in without delays
Prepare daily housekeeping assignments and special projects
Inspect all areas to achieve and maintain world class standards of maintenance, cleanliness and sanitation
Ensure par levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment are properly maintained daily
Order supplies as needed and according to the budget
Accurately complete monthly linen and weekly guest supply inventory
Develop and maintain cooperative working relationship with other hotel departments
Ensure effective and consistent use of the hotel lost and found program
Assist with administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
2 or more years experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager in a 2-5 star hotel or resort property
Professional knowledge of sanitation, cleaning equipment, and cleaning productions and their safe and proper use
Must possess a valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record
Must be able to provide a 5-year Motor Vehicle Record prior to employment
Must be at least 21 years of age
May not have more than 1 moving violation or at fault accident within 12 months
May not have more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents within 36 months
May not have any serious motor vehicle violations including but not limited to excessive speeding, reckless driving, DUI/DWI, suspended or revoked license, etc.
Nice to have:
Associates Degree in Hotel Management or a closely related field
