Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Senior Housekeeper to ensure a high quality and efficient cleaning and laundry service is provided to residents. This will include management of Housekeeping Assistants and Domestic/Laundry Assistants and giving residents a prompt and courteous service at all times.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver high-quality cleaning and laundry services, maintaining a safe, hygienic, and comfortable environment for residents
  • Engage regularly with residents to meet individual needs with minimal disruption
  • Ensure all laundry is processed to a high standard, including washing, drying, and ironing of clothing and linens
  • Supervise and support the housekeeping team, including rota planning, training, recruitment, and performance management
  • Manage stock, supplies, and equipment effectively, ensuring safe use, proper storage, and cost efficiency
  • Monitor and audit housekeeping standards, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulations, and reporting incidents, concerns, or improvements

Requirements

  • NVQ level 2 & 3 in Housekeeping (or equivalent) is essential
  • Previous experience in provision of Housekeeping Services
  • Stock control experience
  • General administration and IT proficiency is desirable
