Job Responsibility:

  • To work close with Head housekeeper to ensure all rooms are cleaned to required standard, to complete room checks after housekeepers have cleaned rooms
  • Complete all Housekeeping admin/ordering in the absence of the Head Housekeeper
  • Compile weekly/monthly rotas in the absence of the Head Housekeeper
  • Perform cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness, to follow cleaning schedule
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings to maintain an appealing environment
  • To cover Head housekeeper when off, this is to open the shift and to complete all tasks sheets for the housekeeping team
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management promptly
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in good condition, ensuring they are stocked as needed
  • Follow established health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and staff

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping role within the hospitality or hotel industry is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new cleaning techniques and procedures
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the shift
  • Extensive experience of hotel housekeeping operations and supervision
