Job Description

A successful Environmental Services Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the environmental services department to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while maintaining regulatory compliance and high levels of customer, client, and resident satisfaction.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage department operations including budget control, payroll, staffing, scheduling, and time management
  • Supervise, train, and support Environmental Services staff
  • Ensure all clean and soiled rooms are serviced and inspected according to established standards
  • Maintain high levels of client and resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and service requests promptly with professionalism, patience, and discretion
  • Protect and properly maintain equipment
  • identify and report any inadequacies
  • Notify supervisor of any damages, deficits, or disturbances
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of consumables
  • reorder as needed
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and company policies and procedures
  • Handle and protect confidential materials appropriately

Requirements

  • 1+ year of Environmental Services (EVS) management experience required in a supervisory or manager role
  • Prior experience with client relations management, including relationship building and issue resolution
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high performance
  • Strong customer service orientation with a positive, professional, and friendly attitude
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or safety
  • Working knowledge of the English language
