A successful Environmental Services Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the environmental services department to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while maintaining regulatory compliance and high levels of customer, client, and resident satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
Manage department operations including budget control, payroll, staffing, scheduling, and time management
Supervise, train, and support Environmental Services staff
Ensure all clean and soiled rooms are serviced and inspected according to established standards
Maintain high levels of client and resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and service requests promptly with professionalism, patience, and discretion
Protect and properly maintain equipment
identify and report any inadequacies
Notify supervisor of any damages, deficits, or disturbances
Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of consumables
reorder as needed
Adhere strictly to health, safety, and company policies and procedures
Handle and protect confidential materials appropriately
Requirements:
1+ year of Environmental Services (EVS) management experience required in a supervisory or manager role
Prior experience with client relations management, including relationship building and issue resolution
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high performance
Strong customer service orientation with a positive, professional, and friendly attitude
Excellent prioritization and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or safety
