The House Attendant is an integral member of the Housekeeping team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest floors, public areas, and supporting Room Attendants to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a passion for delivering genuine hospitality.
Job Responsibility
Support Room Attendants by ensuring guest room supplies are fully stocked, and trash and debris are removed efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of guest corridors, elevator landings, stairwells, linen rooms, and public areas at all times
Stock linen rooms and storage areas with clean linens and supplies
Pick up and deliver guest-requested items promptly and professionally
Assist in Lobby Attendant and Room Attendant duties during high volume periods or as needed
Ensure all linen rooms and storage areas are tidy, properly stocked, and secured when not in use
Operate cleaning equipment safely and report any defects or accidents immediately
Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it is clean, organized, and in good working condition
Report any damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to management promptly
Provide genuine hospitality by interacting with guests in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner
Identify opportunities to personalize each guest's experience and promote hotel services and amenities
Comply with all health and safety policies and report any suspicious activity
Carry out additional cleaning or operational duties as assigned
Work harmoniously and professionally with all team members
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent experience preferred
Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury hotel environment, is a plus
Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Knowledge and ability to safely operate cleaning equipment
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
