Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
Knowledge of writing, reading & speaking English language is helpful
Long hours are sometimes required
Heavy work - Exerting up to 35 pounds of measured pull/push weight force periodically while lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and otherwise moving objects and/or 66 pounds of measure pull/push weight force occasionally for the (movement of furniture only)

Job Responsibility

Maintains the cleanliness of guest corridors, elevators and all assigned areas of the property
Cleans and maintains lobbies, guest corridors and assigned areas of the property
Collect dirty linen from Room Attendant carts and deliver laundry for cleaning
Supply clean linen to Room Attendants
Collect and dispose of trash and recycled materials collected by Room Attendants and throughout the hotel
Sweep and vacuum carpets
Polish furniture and fixtures
Make sofa beds upon guest’s requests
Maintain cleanliness and re-stock all storage rooms with required linen and supplies
Assist in laundry room with washing/drying, folding, ironing, and stocking shelves of linen

Job Responsibility

Thoroughly vacuum, dust, clean, sweep, polish and restock the required number of guest rooms during a shift
Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean and neat
Remove all dirty linen and trash from guest rooms
Completion of pre-cleaning responsibilities, including but not limited to, stocking guest supplies, cleaning supplies and linen for housekeeping carts
As assigned, complete deep cleans of the guest rooms and projects assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or General Manager
Report all missing hotel items from guest rooms to Executive Housekeeper
Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
Follow company Housekeeping Policy as stated in the Team Member Handbook
Adhere to company “Lost and Found” policy and procedures
Report maintenance issues to Executive Housekeeper by completing a work order

Requirements

At least 1-2 years of supervisory experiences in Housekeeping/Laundry department
Prior luxury hotel experience in the Housekeeping/Rooms Division strongly preferred
Must be flexible with schedule – Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evenings
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America

Job Responsibility

Manages a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of a specific area of the hotel
Interviews, trains and schedules the staff
Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed
Schedules work to be done daily, collects room and floor status sheets for assigned work areas
Monitors each Room Attendant’s daily progress
Inspects completed rooms to assure that all standards have been met
When standards have been missed, brings employee back to room and coaches the employee on how to correct the deficiency
Coordinates work orders in assigned section
Follows up to be sure work is completed
Releases checkout rooms to be sold
