Handle all calls into the housekeeping department and ensure all guest requests are forwarded to the appropriate individual to follow through on request.
Job Responsibility:
Open the department in the morning shift, print all needed reports including hotel operations overview, daily event reports, trace reports in Opera
Read the handover from previous day and action
Create daily work assignments for Room Attendant and Turndown Attendant in designated computer systems
Issues the daily work assignments, Trace and Events reports as well as Hotel Overview report to Lobby Attendants, Housemen and Supervisors
Ensures that all special set ups in guestrooms, guest requests, group and event movement as well as daily projects are highlighted on the assignments as well as verbally to the staff member
Monitor that all Housekeeping, Laundry & Valet and Engineering service requests from guests will be actioned and completed in a timely manner and follow up if needed to ensure request has been completed
Updates daily the Power Point briefing slides shows for the Morning and Evening Housekeeping briefings after consulting with the Housekeeping Management and Supervisor team
Check status of stayover rooms and arrival rooms and move rooms around in Room Attendant assignments and ensures all rooms are cleaned and inspected by 3pm
Bring to the attention of Housekeeping management should the possibility arise that not all rooms will be completed by 3pm
Manage Day Service and Turndown Service and contact all guests who have a “Do not disturb” through available channels such as Four Seasons Chat, emails or written notes
Follows up on engineering requests from guests and staff members and makes sure that they are completed in a timely manner
Checks Housekeeping staffing for all positions for the next day and informs the Housekeeping management of any over or understaffing according to labor standards
Conducts weekly inventories of all Housekeeping supplies with the input of the Floor Supervisors and submits Purchase Orders to hold par levels
Purchase Orders have to be done in line with Housekeeping budget and avoiding over or under ordering as well as shortage of supplies
Maintain tracking sheets for Housekeeping staff productivity and Housekeeping projects and update them daily
Add all known guest preferences in regards to Housekeeping service, set up and Service times in Opera guest profile, HOTSOS notes for current and future stays and set an Opera Trace for the duration of the guests stay
Ensure that the Housekeeping Office as well as all Housekeeping storage rooms on B1 level are tidy, clean and organized at all times
Ensure that the info board is at all times updated with the newest hotel and company updates for all staff without Lotus Notes access
Send a written handover in form of a standardized word document at the end of the Evening shift to the Housekeeping Lotus Notes group
Save the handover in designated folder in rooms drive
Complete the daily assignment for the day shift and evening shift Coordinator and file it together with the completed handover from the previous day
Complies with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact
Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Prior experience preferred but not required
Ability to read, write and speak English
