Job Description:

We are looking to recruit a part-time Housekeeping Assistant for Wilton Health Centre, located in Salisbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving a high standard of cleanliness in a clinical environment and also non-clinical areas throughout the premises, ensuring that a clean, safe and comfortable environment is maintained.

Job Responsibility:

Achieve a high standard of cleanliness in a clinical environment and also non-clinical areas throughout the premises
Undertake cleaning duties throughout the health care premise
Empty, clean and reline general and clinical waste bins, segregating waste for disposal to appropriate holding bins
Replenish supplies of soap, toilet rolls, paper towels etc
Floor cleaning
Arrange furniture and equipment for various classes, clinics and return to normal order after use
Undertake periodic cleaning maintenance of carpets and other floor surfaces and planned and ad hoc curtain changing as required
Maintain departmental records where appropriate, such as refrigeration temperatures, flushing and w/c cleaning forms
Use all cleaning materials in accordance with manufacturers instructions and departmental procedures, storing safely and securely when not in use

Requirements:

General educational level of numeracy and literacy
General workplace experience
Experience of completing workplace training
Understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
Current right to work in the UK which enables you to undertake the role without need of sponsorship

Nice to have:

Basic Health and Safety knowledge/qualification
Basic food hygiene knowledge/qualification
Cleaning experience
Control of infection knowledge
NHS workplace experience
