As a Housekeeping Assistant, you’ll play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across our villages, supporting both residents and the wider team. Job Responsibility:

Cleaning designated areas to a high standard, ensuring all spaces are clean, tidy, and hygienic
Carrying out housekeeping duties within residents’ homes with care, discretion, and respect
Maintaining communal areas so they are consistently neat, welcoming, and well presented
Cleaning floors, including vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and polishing furniture and woodwork
Emptying waste bins, ensuring correct disposal procedures are followed and bins are relined appropriately
Cleaning windows and glass surfaces within safe reach
Completing laundry duties in line with village procedures
Adhering to Health & Safety and COSHH regulations at all times

Requirements:

Previous experience in a housekeeping, cleaning, or domestic role, ideally within a customer-focused environment
Self-motivated with a positive, personable approach and strong communication skills
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and shift patterns
A basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards would be advantageous, though full training will be provided
