Job Responsibility

Provide a hygienic environment in which families feel welcome and comfortable
Maintain the standards of cleanliness appropriate to the standards set by the organisation

Requirements

To provide a hygienic environment in which users and their families feel welcome and comfortable throughout their stay
To closely work alongside Care Team colleagues in the delivery of support to users and their families
Adopt a flexible approach both to your daily duties as necessary, providing a seamless support service to the hospice
Ensure Infection Control measures are followed meticulously
Work positively and methodically as part of a small facilities team

Ensuring sections of bedrooms, corridor and public areas are kept clean and tidy to the required standard
Daily Cleaning including emptying waste bins, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning dining rooms/lounges/lavatories, cleaning taps and sinks, spot cleaning all floorings
Weekly Cleaning including polishing mirrors, dusting handrails and radiators, dusting and polishing furniture and windowsills, washing floors, dusting pictures, dusting light bulbs and fittings
Restocking toiletries, soaps, towels etc. as and when required
Efficient and economical use of supplies provided
Assisting with Linen Room duties when requested
Keeping storage areas clean and tidy and stocked up at all times
