Requirements

Previous experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. A willingness to learn is essential!
A strong eye for cleanliness and the ability to follow specific presentation guidelines
You must be dependable and able to work independently to meet check-in deadlines
As the role spans both Markinch and Kirkcaldy, a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferable
Availability for flexible working, including some weekends

Job Responsibility

Providing high-standard cleaning and turnover services for our boutique rooms and Airbnb apartment
Changing bed linen and towels to a professional, 'guest-ready' standard
Ensuring all guest areas are thoroughly sanitised, stocked, and presented beautifully
Monitoring and reporting any maintenance issues or damages
Managing laundry requirements and replenishing guest amenities

Job Responsibility

Clean guest rooms and bathrooms to a high standard
Prepare beds and ensure fresh linen and supplies are ready for guest arrivals
Clean and maintain communal areas, including corridors, lounges, and the swimming pool area
Ensure storerooms are stocked with necessary linens, guest supplies, and cleaning products
Help decorate the centre for events and seasonal activities
Maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times
Ensure all products are used and stored correctly in accordance with COSHH
Work efficiently during guest arrival and departure days
Support other departments when required to ensure smooth operation across the site
Contribute to creating a welcoming and positive environment for all guests

Job Responsibility

Daily Cleaning (including but not limited to): Emptying waste bins and wiping out, Vacuuming throughout and mopping, Cleaning dining rooms / lounges / lavatories, Cleaning taps and sinks, Spot cleaning all floorings
Weekly Cleaning (including but not limited to): Polishing all mirrors, Dusting handrails and radiators, Dusting and polishing furniture and windowsills, Washing floors, Dusting pictures, Dusting light bulbs and fittings
Restocking toiletries, soaps, towels etc. as and when required
Efficient and economical use of supplies provided
Assisting with Linen Room duties when requested
Keeping storage areas clean and tidy and stocked up at all times
