The Housekeeping Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the overall supervision and daily operations of the housekeeping department. This includes ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety. The role also involves leading and motivating the housekeeping team, coordinating room readiness with relevant departments, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience through efficient service delivery.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and support the smooth daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all guest rooms, suites, public areas, and back‑of‑house areas consistently meet the standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation
Conduct detailed room and area inspections, identify discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly
Coordinate room readiness with Front Office, ensuring efficient turnover for arrivals, VIP rooms and special requests
Supervise and support the housekeeping during daily operations. Participate in training, coaching and ongoing performance development for all housekeeping staff
Manage staff schedules, monitor attendance and ensure adequate work force levels to meet operational demands
Respond to guest inquiries, special requests, or concerns with professionalism and prompt follow‑through
Monitor guest satisfaction scores and support improvement initiatives. Lead service recovery efforts by resolving guest issues quickly and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence
Managing accurate inventory level of linen, guest and operating supplies
Work closely with Front Office, Engineering and other departments to ensure seamless guest service delivery
Ensure all housekeeping practices comply with hygiene regulations, safety protocols and company policies
Requirements:
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Previous experience in housekeeping or a related management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury or high‑end environment
Strong leadership, management and problem-solving skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Attention to detail and a commitment to high service standards
Applicants must hold a Macau ID due to work permit restriction
