Job Description:

Support banquet and housekeeping services at the New York Marriott Downtown; facilitate functions with cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction; assist management with staff training and development.

Job Responsibility:

Set up banquet area/room
monitor sanitation and organization
inspect storage areas and rectify deficiencies
hire, train, schedule, evaluate staff
assist with guest needs
ensure staff collaboration
uphold quality standards

Requirements:

Read and analyze banquet event order
determine proper setup, timeline, specific guest needs
ensure cleanliness and organization of assigned areas
communicate with guests and team members
adhere to company safety policies
uniform and appearance standards
ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
ability to move over sloping or uneven surfaces
high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
less than 1 year related work experience
