Job Responsibility:
Performs floor maintenance and wall washing
cleans doors, doorframes, baseboards, corners, edges, and stairwells using various cleaning methods
operates pressure washers and industrial powered equipment for cleaning tasks
adjusts and maintains cleaning equipment including changing attachments
empties trash and wastebaskets and replaces liners
transports general refuse, regulated medical waste, and recycling to collection areas
cleans restrooms, bathrooms, and shower rooms ensuring sanitation standards
replenishes supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizers, and soap
moves and arranges furniture and patient equipment to facilitate cleaning
provides bed-making services and cleans patient care area furnishings
handles soiled textiles and manages clean textile inventory
cleans specialized areas including refrigerators, ice machines, stainless steel surfaces, and glass windows
replaces curtains and cleans blinds
cleans or replaces needle boxes
performs intermittent cleaning of non-critical reusable medical equipment
works independently or with teams while potentially supervising CWT workers
executes additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
U.S. citizenship
suitability for federal employment as determined by background investigation
successful completion of drug screening prior to appointment
selective service registration for males born after 12/31/1959

ability to perform physical demands including continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing
capable of occasional use of heavy powered cleaning equipment exceeding 50 pounds
meet all application requirements including resume submission and documentation
willingness to serve 1-year probationary period
compliance with seasonal influenza vaccination or authorized exemption
