Job Description:

Housekeeper position at The Westin South Coast Plaza Costa Mesa. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and public areas, responding to guest requests, and following all company safety and security policies.

Job Responsibility:

Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
Fill cart with supplies and transport to assigned area
Enter guest rooms following procedures
Replace guest amenities and supplies
Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items
Make beds and fold terry
Clean bathrooms
Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items
Check that all appliances are present and working
Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances
Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties
Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
Assist individuals with disabilities

Requirements:

No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
No related work experience required
No supervisory experience required
No license or certification required
Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart over sloping and uneven surfaces
Ability to lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
Ability to lift objects over 25 pounds with assistance
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees
Ability to bend, twist, pull, and stoop
Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods
Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
