The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff by performing cleaning duties assigned to apartments, interior and exterior common areas and amenities.
Job Responsibility:
Clean public areas and resident’s apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas
Perform all housekeeping duties including distributing laundered articles and linens, changing beds, cleaning public restrooms, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing floors, cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, dusting furniture, polishing metalwork, washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
Performs all laundry duties including washing and drying resident laundry, folding and/or hanging laundry, distributing laundered articles and linens, changing bed linens
Maintain resident laundry areas
Wash windows throughout the community as requested
Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition
Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies
Stock cleaning cart with supplies
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash
Work with maintenance to ensure trash and dumpster areas are clean
Request maintenance work orders
Report resident issues or changes in health or living status
Report potentially unsafe conditions
May perform other duties as needed
Requirements:
Must successfully complete all Company specified training programs
Able to operate cleaning equipment such as, iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, vacuums, etc.
Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed
Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
General knowledge of sanitation
Strong organization and time management skills
Basic computer skills
