In the role of Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the Community interior, including residents’ apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion and in a courteous and friendly manner.
Job Responsibility:
Provide general housekeeping for both the Community as a whole and individual resident apartments, including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning
Clean and defrost refrigerators (as needed), clean and check heat system filters, change the bed and linens, ensure adequate linen supplies
Turn mattress (with assistance) as necessary and empty waste baskets
Provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed, focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
Launder all linens by washing and drying
Follow Company sanitation and safety procedures
Greet residents and guests at each table, serve beverages, cereals, and/or soups/salads
Review menu, take resident orders, and serve meals and desserts
Return cart to the kitchen and assist with storage of perishable items, deliver trays to resident rooms if needed
Bus and clear dishes after meals, reset for next meal following sanitizing procedures, vacuum carpets
Complete side work such as filling sugar holders, replenishing creamers, cleaning coffeemaker
May perform other duties as needed
Requirements:
Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time)
Strong organization and time management skills
Basic computer skills
